Unable to remove .NET Passport user and disable auto logon

I am unable to successfully remove a .NET Passport user
account from the "Manage my network passwords" link under
User Accounts. I have already tried removing the account
as outlined by "Removing a Passport (including dropdown
list in Messenger) from your Windows XP Account, Solve
ID: 2". I have also uninstalled Messenger, as outlined
by "How to Uninstall Windows Messenger from Windows XP
Solve ID: 7". Re-booting was conducted after both, yet
the .NET Passport account still appears.

The Username (account) does not show in the "Stored User
Names and Passwords" window but does show that the email
address ([email protected]) is an active/current .NET
Passport.

Any suggestions?

Are you referring to the automatic login? If so, you also need to remove the Passport.Net\*
(Passport) entry?
