Unable to Open the Outlook Window

I have been using Microsoft Outlook for 6 months on my home computer. I am
now getting the following message every time I try to log into it:

Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook. Unable to open the Outlook Window.
The set of folders could not be opened. The server is not available.
Contact your administrator if this condition persists.

I re-installed Microsoft Office but it did not solve the problem. Can
anyone help me out ?

With Outlook closed, try running scanpst.exe on your default data file.
Scanpst can be located after a search. If the problem persists try a new
Outlook profile via the Mail icon in Control Panel. Deal with getting your
old data into that profile after you see if it works.

I am having the same problem. I followed your instructions, but it is not
helping. I think I am confused on where I should run the scanpst.exe from.

After I did the scan in windows to find scanpst.exe, it guided me through
running it.
