Unable to open EarthLink mailbox

When I try to open my EarthLink mailbox I receive this
message - Cannot find the file 'rundll32.exe C:\Program
Files\INTERN~1\hmmapi.dll, MailtoProtocolHandler' (or one
of its components). Make sure the path and filename are
correct and that all libraries are available.

What does this mean and how do I fix it?

Try reinstalling your Earthlink software....and/or contact Earthlink
support.
