unable to open any drive by double clicking on it

I have Win XP SP2 on my desktop. It worked good untill recently.
But now, I am unable to open any drive by double clicking on it. Every time
i try opening, an "Open with" window appears with all the programs listed.
(like IE, MS word, MS Excel, etc). Currently I am opening the drives with Win
explorer.
