Unable to install Windows XP Pro Updates from MS Win Update site

Hi,

My system runs great with MS Win XP Pro O/S (full version
clean install - not an upgrade) running a 1.2G CPU and
512M memory. But, I'm Unable to successfully install most
of Windows XP Pro Updates from the MS Win Update site. A
few (1 or 2) of the updates will install
successfully...but, most downloads show in red that they
did not install successfully. It says something
like "would you like to try re-installing again?" There
are no error codes or other problems.

How can I get the system to accept all the critical and
other updates? I have downloaded drivers and they did
update successfully. Any help would be appreciated!

Best Regards,

Ray
