I posted the following to various games NG, but didn't really get anywhere.
I hoped that someone here might be able to help:
:
: When I try to install FS2002, I get an error message saying that the
: selected drive is write protected or the file name is too long etc. But if
I
: let it install to 'J' drive (which is totally empty), it's quite happy.
Why
: won't it let me install to 'D' drive? (It's new Sony laptop and everything
: else continues to install well enough to 'D'.)
:
: Cheers,
:
: Chris
:
I deleted the 'J' partition, but now FS2002 insists on being installed to
the 'I' drive, which is only a gigabyte in size (for my Page File) - i.e.
nowhere near big enough! Again, if I try to persuade it to install to 'D',
it tells me I've got a write protected drive, or the file name is too long
(which is default) etc. This is so depressing! I just want to play Flight
Sim on my sexy new 16.1" 1400x1050 laptop...
Any help would be most appreciated.
Cheers,
Chris
