Unable to get past Windows Logo Screen

Hi again all,

I must say I am loving this forum and have learned a ton in the last 2
weeks. Today's query is regarding dual booting windows XP and Windows
95.

As I stated in previous posts, I got a new Windows XP system and wanted
to take my old HDD out of my windows 95 system and run it in a dual
boot format (due to the fact that I have some older programs that they
do not make anymore nor support). I used Osloader 2000 (registered
version) and I am able to get it to work as long as I mark the Windows
95 HDD as the first boot device (via the BIOS). Yet whenever I boot
into windows 95 (at the select screen) it boots up fine but then at the
Windos 95 loading screen (the one where the bottom band kind of moves
from left to right) it locks up at that point. The bottom band keeps
waving across, but I do not see any HDD activity and it stays at the
screen without going into desktop.

Any suggestions on what to try?

U got a whole new system?
Or u use the old hardware?

In case u use new hardware now, Win95 problably don't know your new
IDE-controller.

Try putting back tho old HDD into your old hardware, boot win95 and
install the IDE-controller of u'r new hardware.
