Unable to find mail server...

I'm running Outlook 2002 & can't get it to work.
I keep getting the error message:

Task 'mail.mydomain.com - Sending and recieving reported error (0x800CCC0D)
: Unable to find the mail server. Please verify the server information in
your account properties.'

I am using the same settings in Outlook Express & it works fine. I've even
deleted the account in Outlook, & imported the settings from OE & still have
the same problems. I have tried putting the IP address of mail server in
account properties & have also tried the detect & repair option.

Any suggestions?

Norton Antivirus, & no spam filtering, but other computers are also
configured the same way & aren't having any problems.
