Unable to file share to XP (OK from XP)

I have set up a simple home network using a hub between a
laptop running W2K Pro and a desktop running XP Home. The
XP Home machine has all the periferals. I can set up
remote printing from W2K by browsing the shared printers
on XP and I can print successfully. On XP I can access
the shares on W2K by browsing and work on them. On W2K
however when I try to browse the network I get the
message "The network is not present or not started". The
W2K system has been reloaded and brought up to SP4 and the
XP system is at SP1. Any ideas would be welcome.

Make sure all computers are in the same workgroup and that all useraccounts
exist on all computers (W2K/XP's). Got File- and printersharing loaded? Is
Netbios over TCP/IP enabled (Advanced properties of TCP/IP, tab WINS)?
Have you turned of the Firewall on the XP?

The problem is that when I click on the "entire Network" in the "My Network Places" I get the message "Network not present or not started" immediately. I don't even get to the see the available clients.

All other suggestions were already done.

Any other ideas,

Thanks,
