unable to export from Outlook 2003

I would like to export my contacts from Outlook, but under 'Create a
file of type:' the .pst is the only option. Any idea how to get .csv
as an option?

You have to do am import/export - from there you will get the option
to export it to an excel file - and it will put all of your contacts
in one file

File>Import and Export>Export to a File. Could you state the reason why you
want to export? Transferring your contacts to a non-Outlook application is
appropriate, but exporting for purposes of backup or to transfer to another
instance of Outlook is not appropriate.
