Unable to display the folder

I am running Outlook 2007 Beta (12.0.4017.1006). Recently I began receiving
the following when attempting to open any of the folders which I have added
to the Outlook Today page:

"Cannot display the folder. Microsoft Office Outlook cannot access the
specified folder location."

When I access the folder via the folder list pane, all is good. These are
all local folders on my computer.

I know of nothing that changed to cause this behavior.

This post is for any others who have this same problem. I'm not sure which
beta this person had. I only needed the second half of the workaround
because UserDefinedUrl was correct in my registry.

I found this "fix" on the IE7 beta discussion group:

"This was posted by someone else and works but involves modifying the
Registry. So do it at your own risk.
-------
Go to Start click on Run type Regedit press enter go to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Outlook\Today
and on the
right side look for the key UserDefinedUrl and double click and add the
missing character at the end - it appeared as outlwvw.dl when it should be
outlwvw.dll Then go to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Outlook\Today\Folders
and on
the right side you will see a string for each folder you got on your Outlook
Today. IE7 added an extra backslash at the begining of the line on each
string; therefore you must double click on each entry and delete one
backslash then press ok. Close the registry editor. Start Outlook and the
situation should be fixed."
