Unable to burn cd's in xp pro.

I have just upgraded from windows 98se to windows xp professional and now i
cannot burn any cd's. I use roxio cd creator 6, but this just locks after the
table of contents are written. I have tried realplayer also but this locks
before it even writes anything! Can anyone help?

Reinstall the Roxio software, and if it still doesn't work refer to their
(Roxio's) support for further assistance in making it work under WinXP.
Also, start/run msconfig and make sure the imapi burning service is disabled
on the services tab. During the upgrade, you ignored the warning to first
uninstall the third party burning software before proceeding. This was part
of the initial check for compatibility. 5 seconds of reading would have
saved you a lot of trouble.
