Unable to add contacts folder to address book

A couple of my users are unable to add the company contact list to their
address book. For them, that option in the properties of the company
contacts folder is greyed out. The permissions on the folder have been set
to allow all users to view and edit the contact folder. Even more unusually,
the user designated as the folder's owner cannot do this either, her "add to
address book" option is also greyed out. I've been unable to find any
mention of this in the knowledgebase, unfortunately. Any suggestions?

Sounds to me like you forgot to add the Outlook Address Book Service to the
profile.
I assume you know how since you failed to provide your Outlook version.
