How did you connect your PST to the mail profile? Did you import or use
Windows Easy Transfer? If so, the mail profile is corrupt and Outlook 2007
won't let you fix it. You'll need to create a new mail profile using the Mail
applet in Control Panel, re-add your accounts, and point to the correct PST.
Restarting Outlook after that should produce the correct behavior.

Brian,
Can you tell me where this Mail Applet is in the Conrol Panel in Windows 7?
My "Show folder as an e-mail address book" is greyed out (not active) and
think this is the problem not being able to import addresses into a Word Mail
merge.
Thanks, Bob

If Windows 7 is 64 bit, you will need to enable 32 bit .cpl. Then you will
see the mail applet.
