UI, Mockup - How Windows Mail SHOULD be (corrected image repost)

I must have missed some posts leading up to this. What's the reason why
Windows Mail SHOULD look like that?

Hmm... looks good though ) Needs to retain the "Outlook Express" view
still though.

The same reason why Windows Calendar, Windows Media Player, Windows Photo
Gallery, Windows DVD Maker, Contacts, et al look like the way they do.

Something to do with the "Vista look-and-feel" that Windows Mail somehow get
left out of

This was not about viewing messages through the Explorer, just to give
Windows Mail a look that's consistent with the rest of Vista's payload.

Quit trying to deny that the current Windows 98-era relic has no place in
the revamp that Vista's supposed to be :)

You've got my vote, I suppose :) Although I wouldn't want it to deviate TOO
much from the Outlook Express look, as, at the end of the day, this is what
it is based on. And in 5381, it is in a sense keeping with the same look and
feel of WinFax and Scan and WinCal....but yeah.
