TWO THUMBS DOWN

This is ridiculous.... I got all fired up to check out this fancy new beta
and it doesn't even update.

This is a fundamental feature of software these days, to be able to
automatically download and install updates. They didn't even finish that
feature yet and they're giving it to us already? I mean I understand its a
beta but inability to update is like alpha stuff come on!

I also find it ridiculous that they haven't addressed this, they haven't
even said "umm crap! yeah we're looking into it sorry folks"

Anyway, now I can't install the old one so this is just great. Perhaps
that's the stratetgy, to give us a new beta that doesn't update so we all get
terribly infected, and then once they enable updates again they will get an
explosion of new information in their spynet database.

Just a thought.. Hey so let's EVERYBODY who has this problem lets stick a
response here in this thread and see if we can't at least get somebody to
address this.
Couldn't they generate a little patch we could download that would install
the update "manually?"

Where do we officially report this issue? Anybody know? Let's flood these

Holy crapola! This is amazing that we can't update, and can't even report it.
It's the first instance of Beta I've participated in where suggestions
couldn't be reported.

We are aware of the signature update issue and will have a KB shortly.

I have it loaded into 3 systems.....one XP Pro and 2 home systems and they
all updated fine through windows update. If yours isn't then perhaps you
should be looking for a solution instead of flooding the group with
complaints.

Completely agree. Beta 1 was awesome (from Giant) Beta 2 is ridiculous. Put
the gdi+.dll in System32 folder. Now getting 1920 error. I'm furious.

Yeah I've looked for a solution for a couple days, smart-ass.... On many
different forums there are many people shrugging their shoulders. If it works
fine for you, then that's great. Enjoy the software and let us express our
bugs here since there's no bug-submission for this beta for some reason.

Can I suggest that you start a new thread with Error 1920 in the subject
header? We're getting pretty good coverage from Microsoft in these early
days--that's a new one for me, though. I take it this is on Windows 2000?

Your "Test0" is showing. Try asking questions and trying to find solutions
instead of ranting. :)

Hi Linuxgirl

Is it total anarchy in US with users installing everything
on their own PCs within corporate networks ?

Is it also impossible to "lock" gpedit, installs and C:/ with policys
in US ?

What a mess....... ;)
