TV TUNER in a domain environment

I have a situation where multiple users need to be able to use a tv tuner and
its software to monitor what is on tv. These users are logging into a domain
computer with their domain accounts. When they launch the tv tuner software
it doesn't work. It doesn't work because these users don't have
administrative rights to the computer. I have been able to work around this
by hacking the registry to allow these users access to the software but this
is causing another problem, not to mention the security risks. I want to
know if there is a certain manufacturer that makes a tv tuner card and
software that works in a domain environment. Allowing you to run it as a
regular user without compromising security. It seems like a lot of software
these days doesn't mesh well with windows domain security. Right now I am
using Macro Image Technology's MDP-130. Please let me know if you have any
suggestions. Thanks.

I don't have a direct answer, but I have heard that there are software
out there that lets one broadcast a TV card out to a network. Those
should work, no? And if you find a good one, let me know. ;)

Are you talking about something like a slingbox. We had considered that at
one point but I can't remember why we opted against it. It may have been a
cost issue. Does anybody have experience using a Slingbox Tuner? How many
people can connect at once? Will I run into the same issue with their
Slingplayer software as I do with the MY HD software. I need the player to
be able to run under a regular user account without any special permissions.

No that is a new one on me. But I will check it out as I am the only
user on my network. Thanks again! :)
