Our poor nonprofit wants to use a donated big screen TV for Powerpoint
presenations. The TV has only a coaxial connection for input. Is there
an adaptor that can connect an IBM-stype video output "D shaped"
connection to a coaxial connection?

Thanks in advance.

No, you have to convert the PC video to TV video with an encoder.
There are lots around, prices vary a lot - try checking our what TigerDirect
has to offer.

There are such but you might be better off to put a video board in the
machine that has TV-out--you can get PCI boards for under $60.
