turn off "resume power point show"

I want to run a powerpoint show, click on a hyperlink button on a slide to
automatically start another presentation without (1.) being asked if I want
to open the 2nd presentation (this is a nusiance) and (2.) when I am done
with the 2nd presentation hit the escape button (which returns you to the
first presentation but you get this "resume slide show" that you have to
click on to continue the 1st presentation). I want the process to be
transparent without having to hit extra question buttons. Is it possible to
turn off those question features?

Thanks

This tutorial on linking presentations together will do exactly as you have
asked for

http://www.awesomebackgrounds.com/powerpointlinking.htm

- no asking if you want to open the link
- when done (either finished slides, or hitting Esc) it will return whence
it came from
- transparent
