hi

how do i turn off "broad band connected" or any other such messages on task
bar?
similar issues are "lan connected" etc.. i dont want the messages to appear.
though it goes off after few seconds or clicking "x" on right top corner, i
dont want it to appear at all.
similarly, the help feature that shows a small box with messages. for
example, if i point the cursor on subject line of the new message in outlook
express it shows "type the subject for this message"..
both of these are not required...
TIA

Hi,
Open your Windows Explorer and Click on Tools >> Folder Options under Files
and Folders Option Uncheck this box;
1-=> [ ] Display file size information in folder tips this will not
show the size of the file/folder tips

and under this Managing pairs of web pages and folders

2-=> [ ] Show pop-up description for folder and desktop items uncheck
this box.

I don't know why donot like them if they will go after a second, they can be
helpful to let you know some information and what is runing on your computer.
I recommend not doing the First option but the later if you insist on doing
so.
HTH.
Please let us know your findings.
Regards,
nass

This might help:

Under Network Components, or "Show all connections", right-click each
component, click Properties, and turn of "Show icon in notification area
when connected.".
