Trust 5.1 sound card - help

erm, i didnt know where else to put this so...


I recently bought one of those trust 5.1 optical card jobbies..

looks nice... but my problem:

in your review u say u can connect up u amp to this card to get 5.1.. as long as the amp has ac3 in it..

well.... my amp has ac3.. dolby and ooodles of other stuff.. and yet when i connect it up.. nothing..not a blip.

sorry to sound stupid...but can any of u lot help?

OK, Which amp is it that you have? There is some configuring you need to perform in your drivers to get AC3 working.

Have you read the manual section on it?

well, ive got a yamaha rx , and the trust manual is pathetic "er..we kinda dont do it...but er...we do...ish"

oh yea .. the yamaha has got dolby digital and cinema dsp if that helps
