Trouble saving Word doc with two Graph 2000 Charts in it.

Hello all. I am having trouble saving a Word document (Office 2000) that is
20 pages long and has two Graph 2000 Charts in it. If I cut the charts and
paste them into a new document, the original document will save. If I don't
do that, I get a message saying that my disk space is full. This is not
possible. I have tried saving to a large server, my hard drive, and a floppy,
and none of these work.

Any tips? By the way, my graphs are simple bar or pie charts that have only
four data points each. And I converted the "layout" of the graph to be
"behind text" so that I could eliminate some of the white space around the
graph.

Thanks.

My first thought is that the document may be damaged. If you copy/paste the text
- without the last paragraph mark - into a new document can you save that?

The other thing to check for would be files that start with ~ and that end in
..tmp in the same folder as the document. If you've had some crashes, or Word
for some other reason hasn't been able to delete the working files associated
with this document, that could be causing the error message.
Any tips? By the way, my graphs are simple bar or pie charts that have only
four data points each. And I converted the "layout" of the graph to be
"behind text" so that I could eliminate some of the white space around the
graph.

Cindy-

Thanks for your information. It turns out your second recommendation was
correct. I had some temporary files in that folder, one of which was the
exact filename as the file I was trying to save. The document had crashed
before.

Thanks again!

Thanks for reporting that back :)!
