Trouble Creating TCP/IP Printer Port In Win2K

C

calvin_b

I'm trying to access a network printer from a Win2K machine as per the
instructions provided by D-Link (which worked for my Win/XP machine
btw).

D-Link instructions tell you to start the wizard, select a Local
Printer and then the Wizard moves to a new page asking you to 'Create a
New Port' by selecting from the drop down list box. The selection
required is 'Standrad TCP/IP port'. When I click on the list box TCP/IP
port is not there :-(

Has anyone got any ideas on where I should go from here (a Google
serach hasn't found anything relevant, and I've emailed D-Link support)

TIA

Calvin

Give it a name and supply the IP address of the Print server.

Below the list box there is a radio button labelled Create a new port, click
on this then choose Standard TCP/IP port from the Type drop down box.

After that its the same more or less as XP
