Trouble Connecting a VPN

My VPN to my workplace worked until I had to swap out the Firebox x700. Now
when I try to connect I get this error:

Error 781 The encryption attempt failed because no valid certificate was
found.

Anybody know what this means and what I need to do?

That means that there is no computer certificate, wrong certificate, expired
certificate, revoked certificate, or if there is a computer certificate it
is not trusted meaning that either the server or client does not have the
issuing Certificate Authority in their computer certificate store. Computer
certificates are used with L2TP VPN connections but not with pptp. They are
used to "authenticate" the computers to each other before the VPN connection
is allowed. Firewalls also have to configured correctly to allow inbound
traffic from the VPN client to the VPN server. If your Firebox itself is the
VPN server then the problem is that it does not have a computer certificate
like the old one apparently had and maybe their website or support could
give more info on what to do. --- Steve
