Trouble accessing site from new server

Hello, hopefully you can help,

I've just purchased a new Windows 2003 server and am trying to move my
Frontpage 2002 site from the old machine (running Windows Server 2000)
to the new. I used the publish feature in FP to move the site onto a
folder on the new machine. I then changed my IP address & computer name
on the new server to that of the old server.

Now when I try to log into my site, my user name and password doesn't
work. Has anyone had a similar problem or know what is causing this?

Thanks,
Lydia

You need to create the web on the new server and establish the user name and password for
it.
User names and passwords don't "Publish"

Thanks for the reply...
Can you tell me how to do that? I'm still learning.
Thanks, Lydia

Just publish the web to the new server, using the new URL, the new password
and username that your host provided.

You said in your OP that you "just purchased a new Windows 2003 Server".

Does this mean you have purchased "Windows 2003 Server" O/S and installed it
on *your own* (in your house/work/wherever) computer/server or, 2) does it
mean you've purchased a hosting service running Windows 2003 Server on
*their* machines?

if 2) above, then contact your hosting service, and ask them for the details
they should have given you when they set up your hosting account.
