Trouble accessing news servers...

Due to a dead router, i had to temporarly setup internet sharing w/ firewall on my XP pc. All firewalling and internet sharing have been disabled, and the extra NIC has been removed
I replaced my router with a DI-624, now i am unable to access news servers, port 119 on the XP PC. My 2 other PC can access it fine

For testing i have setup a LAN Only News server, and the problem pc can get to it fine

If i plug the problem PC directly into the cable modem, i can get to the news server..

Any ideas

Please email reply's, since i'm have trouble accessing news servers...

Hi, JT -

If the machine can get to an NNTP server on the LAN side
of the router but not one on the WAN side then the
problem is most likely the router. You might insure that
port 119 is open on the router - that should clear up the
problem.

Good luck!
