Trojan

How did I get this ugly virus: Trojan Horse Dropper Agent 8.8?

I ask because I use spybot search and destroy, spyware blaster, spyware
doctor, hijack this, ad-aware, spyware scanner, cwshredder, and avg. They
are updated and used on a regular basis. Before this, I had wondered if I
had a bug of my own--spware/virus over-kill...but I guess not.

Any suggestions out there?

Thanks,

AVG says it is 8.B but I have this too and I have a couple of spyware
programs running that didn't pick it up either. If anyone out there can tell
me how to get rid of it I would really appreciate it. I have very limited
computer knowledge so easy answers are appreciated.

Thanks,
Marcia

It's me again. I forgot to also mention that I have zone alarm installed in
addition to the others, and once a week I run an active scan with either
Trend Micro or Panda--sometimes both.

Thanks again.

http://housecall.trendmicro.com.

Try a free scan at HouseCall and see if it will clean it. The programs you
mention below are not perfect. The people that author these pests are
dilligent and love to be one step ahead of their rivals.

Thanks, I will try the dropper load. And strangely enough Trend Micro House
Call didn't catch it.

My AV says it is in C\WINDOWS\$NtServicePackUninstall$\cisvs.exe. How did
it get there?

I did check out the site you suggested but am at a loss as to which one of
the trojan removers to download. Any ideas as to which one?

Bless you all. Ewido was the only one that removed it. I re ran AVG and it
didn't come up again.

Now I am confused. I did try your ewido program and although it didn't find
anything about a trojan horse, it did find: 2 files infected with NavExcel,
and one Not-A-Virus Tool.Passview.160

Can you help me out here?

And another thing: everything I've seen on this site recommends keeping
installed programs at a minimum; how is that possible when you have to have a
cagillion different anti-spyware/av programs around just to keep the pc safe
from all the villains out there.

Again,
Thank you

Ok, there's ewido of course, and could you elaborate on the other 4?
And again I ask, with all the spyware and avs loaded, how can there be room
to add any other programs?

Thanks again.

I am not sure what you mean by "room" there is no limit to the number of
programs you can have installed unless you have no more disk space. Spyware
is always changing which is why there are many programs to protect against
and remove it.
