Transfering a very large file

Hi,
My brother has a 1GB file that I would like to transfer to my PC. We both
have XP on broadband systems (both cable systems). We are also both using HW
(router) and SW firewalls.
Is there any way of transfering that file easily? People have mentioned
tunnels (but I have no idea where to start). We have tried AOL IM but that is
slow (over 10 hours) and times out.

Burn it to a DVD. Send the disk via next day air. Works like a charm!
