I need to trasfer .pst files from Outlook 2003 to new computer with Windows
Vista SP1. I trasferred all files using Windows Easy Transfer, but the
contacts and other .pst folders did not transfer and do not show up in
Windows Mail. Why? I first used the transfer cable, then tried a thumb
drive and then by network. The thumb drive transferred the contacts as .pst
files to a folder in documents, not When try to import from the contacts page
it does not give .pst option rather it asks for Window Adress Book! How
should I do this right.

Maybe this might help
http://forums.techarena.in/windows-vista-mail/673040.htm

With that method you need to install a version of Outllook on your Vista
machine. You can download a trial version of Outlook 2007 (or possibly
install the one ou have on your XP machine)

An alternative is on your XP machine, import your email messages etc. into
outlook express and transfer the dbx files it makes to the Vista machine,
they should be importable into Windows Mail (which is the Vista equivalent
to Outlook Express). See
