tracking issue

I have a word document and I am tracking changes. In my margin area, I can
see the balloon are that says deleted. In my table, when I delete something,
I though it would populate the balloon in the margin area, so I could see
what I deleted. Help,

Testing in Word 2007, I see nothing strange with deleted text in table cells:
the changes properly display in the balloons. Have you tried increasing the
"Preferred width" for the balloons (in the Track Changes Options dialog box)?

Which version of Word are you using?
