Too Much Sound

Odd problem. I have a Radeon 9000 Pro AIW. After installing Cat 3.8
everything seemed fine until I turned off Video In. About 30 seconds later
the sound started up again. This is persistent and it happens every time
now. I have uninstalled 3.8 and MMC 8.6 and dropped back to the previous
Catalyst. I even tried reinstalling my soundcard (Sonic Fury) with the
latest drivers in case the WDM drivers were conflicting. No joy - it's
broken and XP won't let me do a system restore back to before the first
'upgrade'. Any one come across this before?

Fixed.

Nothing to do with software. Everything to do with 5 year old son plugging
cables into line-in at back of PC.

LMAO.....at least he didnt try to put bread into your cd rom.....
As a matter of fact I once had to work on someones machine where the floppy drive was supposedly "dead".....turned out
his wife had tried to do an online transaction at Victorias Secret with her Victorias Secret credit card.....by putting
it into the floppy drive to "complete" the transaction......
