TMP Files

I have a lot of TMP files on the Documents and Settings/Temp file. I am
affraid to erase them, they might be necessary. I erase the Temporary Files
every day along with History and My Recent Documents. But I am not sure
about the TMP files and a lot of other things in that Temp File. Can anyone
let me know if they are necessary for the machine to run or can I just go
ahead and erase all. I am not a computer whiz, you know.
Thanks for any help!!!

By definition you can delete any files in the temp folder. If you want to be
sure create a totally different named folder and move the files to that
folder, run the PC for a couple of days I think you will find it is OK.

ACruz;
You can delete anything in the Temp files. XP will not let you delete anything that
is being used.

If you just installed any software, you will want to wait until you reboot
before cleaning out the Temp file
