Thumbs.db

Is there a way to get rid off thumbs.bd in all of my directories that
are display in "Thumbnails." Norton Anti Virus 2004 scans "Thumbs.db"
every time I make a change - add or rename. It is a royal PAIN to have
Norton Scan Thumbs.db on a folder that contains thousands of images. I
have unchecked "Cash Thumbnails" in Folder Options under the "View" Tab.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

In Windows Explorer:

Tools \ Folder Options \ View: Advanced Settings \ Files And Folders:
"Do not cache thumbnails".
