Thumbnail hyperlink problem

I have created a web site on FrontPage 2000 that has many thumbnails that
when you click on them show the large picture. With most of the thumbnails,
the picture shows fine but some just show a "this page cannot be found" white
page. I cannot figure out why some work and others don't. I have recalculated
the hyperlinks repeatedly and checked the reports view and it says that there
are no broken hyperlinks. Can you help me? Thanks.

That means the image the thumbnail links too either isn't on the server, is in a different location
on the server, or the link points back to your hard drive.
Open your site in IE, hover over the thumbnails and the look in the status bar to see where the link
is pointing.

When I hover over the thumbnail, I only get the name and the size of the
file. All the links are on my hard drive. How do I find where it is pointing?

have you published the large versions of the images?
have you published through Frontpage http: ?

The ones that don't work have multiple spaces in the file names. Rename the files and replace the
spaces with underscores _ or dashes - and then republish.

You *may* have to recreate the photo albums.

I can't find any missing images/broken links on there. After you Recalculated Hyperlinks, and while viewing it in your browser try Refresh button.

| Sure! THE URL is http://cid.naples.net/means. It is called Saving Memories.

I published the site with the thumbnails showing. I didn't publish it with
the large versions showing.How would I do that? The large versions have been
published on other sites though. I published it with the "Publish web"
feature under File in FP.

Here are two adjacent thumbnails - the first fails, and the second works -

<a
href="../../My%20Pictures/Scrapbook%20Layouts/Wedding%20layouts/New%20Wedding%20album%20Title.jpg"><img
border="2" src="New_Wedding_album_Title_small1.jpg" alt="New Wedding album
Title.jpg (332610 bytes)" width="100" height="98"></a></font>&nbsp;&nbsp;
<a href="New_Wedding_album_TOC.jpg"><img border="2"
src="New_Wedding_album_TOC_small.jpg" alt="New Wedding album TOC.jpg (270674
bytes)" width="100" height="98"></a>&nbsp;&nbsp;

Note that the first is still pointing at your hard drive, while the second
is 'agnostic' with regard to its location, and merely says "whereever you
are now, look for New_Wedding_album_TOC.jpg" in your location and load it.

I believe that this error is caused by the method you have used to publish
the page, but I'll defer to the experts on that issue.
