thuis language is no longer avaible

Windows Mail comes with the default language for spelling checks partly
set to English, but not enough to work. To correct this, click on Tools,
then Options, then Spelling, then the triangle the the right of English,
then some other language, then Apply, then the triangle again, then
English, then Apply again, then OK.

Start Windows Mail
Click the Tools menu and choose Options...
Click the Spelling tab
From the Language drop-down, select English (default choice)
Click OK

Note: In step 2, make sure that you select the Tools menu from the main window, not the New Mail message window.

I don't have a Bug ID for this issue, and also not sure if this was reported earlier.

Can you list the relevant bug ID for this problem? I'm assuming it exists (or
I'm going to go create one). I'd like to track it. It's a very annoying bug
for a clean installation of your newest OS. I wish I'd seen and reported it
during beta.

Sending the same message twice within a few minutes isn't likely to get you
help in this newsgroup any faster.

Richard,

Follow the directions:

Open Outlook, Go to Tools on upper navigation bar. When the drop down menu
appears, click on Options and a new window will appear. Look at the tabs on
top and click on Spelling. Check box in top section for "run spell check
before sending". In lower box select the language you would like. Then click
apply at bottom of window.

Your spellchecker should now work :)

Richard, if you find the "Options Menu" that Ramesh is talking about, tell
me where it is at. My tools menu does not have that option.

You are looking in the wrong screen. Instead of the compose screen,
go to the main screen of Windows Mail.

and there is no check mark in the box before Always check spelling
before sending, click on this box, then Apply. Click on OK. Restart
Windows Mail.

If you only want to check spelling part of the time, then in the new message
box for those messages, click on the ABC check mark on the toolbar
just before you send the message.
