this message could not be sent

when I try to send a message I get this error message
Windows Mail

The message could not be sent.

An error has occurred.

i also get the following when I'm trying to receive emails, it tells me that
it's downloading 1 of 11 messages and then I get this - on ALL accounts with
mail ont he main server.

An unknown error has occurred. Account: 'Reagan', Server:
'pop.broadband.rogers.com', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Error
Number: 0x80004005



PLEASE HELP - I am about to throw this laptop out the window!! I am running
Vista if that helps at all!

Windows Mail only runs under Vista so far.

The detailed version for Outlook Express should also work under
Windows Mail if it doesn't call for the HTTP protocol.

Unknown errors under Windows Mail are often due to interference
from an antivirus program. What if any antivirus programs do you
have?
