Thinking of buying Frontpage '03

Our small business is looking to create a website, and of all the products
out there Frontpage 2003 sounded like the best option. We currently run
Windows XP - but the FP 2003 box said that this product is only an update. My
question is: do we have to own a previous version of Frontpage to run 2003?
Is Windows XP enough to run it? -Thanks!

You will need a full previous version of FP as a qualifying product to
install an upgrade.

To run the FrontPage 2003 upgrade package, yes, you need to own a previous
version of FrontPage (and have the CD ready for insertion).

If you don't have a previous version of FrontPage, you can either buy one on
e-Bay or whatever, or you can buy a full copy of FrontPage -- one that
includes a complete license.

Windows XP will run FrontPage 2003 quite well. However, if you want to test
the site from a local Web server, you'll need Windows XP Professional. If you
have Windows XP Home Edition, you can only test the site by loading the pages
directly from disk.

However that will lead to a unsupported version of Windows and user may have issue with installing
service packs.
