There is not enough memory available to perform the operation

I have a user who is unable to archive his mailbox (Outlook 2003 - Exchange
2003)
We get the error message: Error while archiving folder "Inbox" in store
"Mailbox - 'users name'". There is not enough memory available to perform the
operation.

The mailbox sizes are limited so cannot grown overly large. There are some
attachments but nothing unusually large. The Archive file is large at 660 MB
but I have tried creating a new archive and still get the same result. Any
ideas?

Thanks

Dave

Sorry should have said, the pst file is located on the users home drive on a
server. The users have no hard drive access. We have this working with no
issues on all other machines on the network.

Thanks

And the pst-file is on the local hard drive?

- How much memory (RAM) does the computer have?
- How much virtual memory (page file) is allocated?
- How much physical & virtual memory is actually used when this happens?
(check with Task Manager). Are there many other apps running when it
happens?

But it still could very well be the source of your issues. The pst file
structure isn't designed for network use/connection. See if archiving to a
locally stored pst-file gives the same issues.

Hi,

I've the same problem of memory to create a new archive file with 2007 and
Vista RC1. The .pst is 1 Gb large.
I've 1 Mb of RAM and all others program are closed. And 963 M/2301M of Page
file.
So, I cannot restorand read my FY06 pst file and I need it to work ... ;)

I would like but I can not read my 1 GB pst because of my "memory problem",
so it is impossible to move the "bad" email from my archive.
Do you have an alternative solution to read my pst ?
