Not enough memory error - Outlook 2003 - Contacts

I've got a user getting a "Not enough memory available" error when trying to
open a DL in their Contacts. We're using Exchange 2003. I suppose it is
because they've created a DL that exceeded the size limit.

I've opened the user's mailbox on my system, using Cached Outlook 2007 and I
can open it just fine. Is there no longer a limit on DL sizes in Outlook 2007
or should the user be in cached mode to work with large DLs?

Did you ever resolve this? I have a similar error but cannot find any
resolution.
Thanks!

I resolved the issue.

Go to Control panel - mail - profiles - create a new profile.
You will have to it set up to point to your pst files and re-set any pop
mail accounts you had but it works. Make sure you tell the system to use the
new profile.

One catch is, if you keep messages on the server, when you log in to the
mail system it will re-download all of your messages that are on the server
creating many duplicates. (I had 345) I suggest you take all messages from
your inbox and put them in a new folder (temp inbox) - let the system
download all the messages on the server to the inbox and then delete any
duplicates.

Unfortunately we're trying hard to get away from pst files. We're moving
towards pushing users to let us create large DLs on the server to allow them
to go crazy with their DLs.

OK, I just thought of you and your problem - I was thrilled my was fixed and
it was EASY to do. You may want to at least try to create a new mail profile
for that user. It seems to fix quite a few odd issues.

Have a GREAT day!

Thanks Ralph. Appreciate the thought. It's comforting to know other people
are struggling with the same issues!

DLs are probably a poor choice.
