The Sims 2 Install Problems

I just got a new computer and am trying to install the Sims 2. It
looks like it is going, but then when I insert disc 2, if sounds like
it's runing, but then seems to freeze. I do Ctrl+Alt+Delete and it
says it's running. I am logged in as the computer administrator. I
haven't had any problems reinstalling all my other software. We have
the Sims 2, Sims University and the Sims Nightlife. We didn't have any
problems installing it on our old computer.

Any suggestions???

Try Safe Mode if you haven't already ...

Startup your system in SAFE MODE by pressing F8 repeatedly
while your system is booting up after you've shut down your system

have u disabled ur anti virus?
i tried installing night life but it just kept spinning disc 2...so i
started again with norton disabled and it worked perfectly!

Good idea. That's why I always recommend installing in Safe Mode. ;-)
