The message interface has returned an unknown error. Help????

Had to completely rebuild operating sofware in laptop, due to virus. Done by
local shop. Originally had Office 2000. Had them install Office 2003 that I
had purchased some time back for PC but never installed in laptop. I now get
the above message whenever I try to receive or create e-mails. In addition
the repair shop moved my address book to a new file Outlook pst and I cannot
access it or move it to the new Outlook 2003. I am stuck with using webmail
on my own laptop. Is it time to get a 'MAC'?

In Outlook 2003, tree list folder view, highlight Personal Folders, rt
click, properties, advanced Btn, what is the path & name of the data File?
The Outlook.pst file where is it located? (the path)
A Mac can just as easily be screwed by the user as a Windows PC, its rarely
necessary to go for the nuclear option, virus or trojans can in most cases
be removed, allthogh sometimes quicker to reformat
