[The link bar feature is not available in this web]

I am relatively new to Front Page and I have inherited an intranet site that
the previous IT guy was working on. It is a purchased layout and it has 3
link bars and a page banner. The pages I have edited, the link bars and
banner do not show up anymore. I get the message "[The link bar feature is
not available in this web]" both when I am looking at it in Front Page and
when I save it and pull it up in a browser. The pages I have not edited yet
have the link bars and the page banner and they work just fine. I have
checked the Page option| Authoring and I have tried default, none, and custom
and none of these options have worked. Any help getting this resolved would
be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for the response. I am using FP 2003 ( I don't know if that changes
the situation or not) and is that something on my end ( PC I am editing the
site on) or on the server I have hosting the site.

The custom link bars require the FrontPage 2002 Server Extensions - sounds
like they may not be installed on your site?

Tools->Page Options - Authoring tab
Make sure that Author time web components
And
Navigation
Check boxes are ticked.
You may also need Browse time web components for custom link bars -
these require FPextensions on the server.
