"tfncky.exe has encountered a problem..."

....and needs to shut down...etc.

This error message frequently occurs on my new laptop when I uses the arrow
keys, or thw Fn key functions. I have sent the error report as requested by
the dialogue box. The problems goes away temporarily when I reboot. Any
suggestions?

Have a look at the following - which makes sense that it happens on function
keys. I would suggest you speak to Toshiba support if it is a new laptop
from them.
