Textbox, plain text editor for Windows - build 2.3.3 is now
available for free download at:

I have been making Textbox updates available here for over a year.
I hope that all ACFers have taken the time to download this free
program and try it out. This is especially true of recent months
because it has continued to improve.

Having said that, version 2.3.5 will be the final free update for Textbox.
It will only be available on CD-ROM from then on, and I will be
changing the name to Textbox Pro. (1.0). I anticipate the crossover will
be completed by years end, and Textbox Pro will be ready in January.

I have plenty of other free applications to promote other than
this one. A stack of new ones were just posted yesterday.
So I'll see if I can make a few bucks off of this one.
At least it's good production practice designing CD labels,
and inserts.

Does anyone know of any good payware newsgroups or sites that I can
post Textbox Pro. on?

Indeed.. ut I would rather a page to read. However there is no
page, so I am a little suspicious. I would much rather a link to
a page about the program where I can read some background and
decide whether I want to download it.

You could post info about the payware version in a newsgroup about
shareware.

I suppose if alt.comp.shareware is not moderated, then it could
be advertised there. My thought is that most users expect to
be able to be able to use shareware for as long as they want, and
then register if they want to. This is not the case with CD-WARE
(which is what Textbox Pro. will be).
