text pasted as a picture in outlook 2003

Hi
Can you please help, when I copy text from Word 2003 and paste it to an
Email message in Outlook 2003 it is displayed as a pictue, (looks like an
icon).
When I go to Office Clipboard the text has disappeared and is replaced by
the picture, (as above).
This problem has only recently happened, I have reinstalled Office 2003 but
still have the same problem. I cannot restore because I have cleaned the hard
drive.
I can copy and paste to other applications without problem. Should I
uninstall Office 2003 completely and reinstall or does anyone have any
suggestions.
