Text Changes position when made bold

We have a document that needs formatting, when the text is changed to Bold,
the text jumps up by about half it height, but the cursor drops down, the
text cannot be seen in a slideshow after this. However if we then add a
shadow effect to it, it owrks fine. Lastly, with the text bold/missing, if
the document is opened on a different PC it's fine. Are there any settings
that could be causing this???
*all PC's are running powerpoint 2007.

The Office programs need a printer driver for correct display on screen.
Please find more information here: http://www.pptfaq.com/FAQ00850.htm . You
can also install the PDF/XPS-Add-In for Office 2007 (free Microsoft
download), it too should cure this problem (the XPS part is the important
part here, so install it, even if you think you don't need it).
