Terminal Services on Win2000 Professional?

J

Joe Rattz

I want to run terminal services on my desktop machine
which is running Win2000 Professional. Is this possible?
If so, what do I need to do to install it? I don't have
it listed in my Add/remove programs listing.

Thanks.

TS is only part of Microsoft's server software. SO to
answer your question, no you cannot run TS on your
machine. Depending on what you plan on using TS for, you
might want to upgrade to WIN XP which has Remote Desktop.
Remote desktop is a watered down version of TS which
allows a remote user to access their own machine, but does
not allow mulitple connections. Hope this helps.

Alternatively, if you can't install Windows XP, then you
might want to check out NetMeeting, PCAnywhere or TightVNC.

there is a 3rd party s/w that WILL allow multi win sessions like TS on Pro
but I prefer using a hammer to drive in nails, not a wrench.
