Terminal Services App mode

I have a Domain Controller installed with Terminal
Services Server and Terminal Services Licensing.

But, today i was going to update the Internet Explorer
inmy DC to IE 6.0 then suddendly when i try to run the
installation process i received a flag with this message.


"Windows Terminal Server needs to be in install mode to
continue" ???

I'm working locally on the DC ?? Any suggest about it

Anytime you install applications on a TS in Application Server Mode the system needs to be toggled to "Install Mode". This can be done either at the cmd prompt via "change user /install" or by running using Add/remove programs. I prefer to use the cmd prompt, then use "Change user /execute" when you're done with the install. If you install something that requires a reboot the system will automatically toggle back to execute mode when restarted

You obviously shouldn't install applications while users are logged onto the server via Remote Desktop. You can prevent TS logons during an install by doing "change logon /disable", then "change logon /enable" when you want to resume normal activity
