Template error msg

In FrontPage 2003 I created a page and saved as a template. Then choose new-
from existing page- clicked template page- create new. Received error message
"Template.dwt cannot be attched because it contains no editable regions. What
does that mean and how do I correct it. What I am trying to accomplish is to
have a page that will be duplicated every time i create new page. Tried
"shared borders", but it wont let me use interactive buttons in the borders.
Hope you can help!

If you are using a DWT as a template you don't create new pages using the .dwt page
You just create a new page and then use Format Dynamic Web Templates - attach
See http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/assistance/HA011277231033.aspx

You have defined any editable regions.
