Telnet Automatically Opens on Start-up

Telnet automatically opens on start-up. I'm worried this
could be a virus, although I've always used Norton Anti-
virus and keep it up to date. I also use Ad-aware, Spybot
Killer and Registry Mechanic. Is there anything else I
can use to discover if I have a virus and remove it? Why
else would telnet simply start opening on start-up?

If Telnet is opening, it is because it is being called by something in
the Startup. Go to Run and type "msconfig" without the quotes. Look on
the Startup and Services tab and see if you can identify the culprit.
You should definitely have a firewall in place.

Unless you use Telnet, go to Run and type "services.msc" without the
quotes. Stop the Telnet service and disable it.
